My take on this .... look at the seller and seller's practices.

--Seller from China
--Has negative feedback for selling silver plated coin
--Sells jade to "make friends"
--Sells "antique" jade for $3 with free shipping from China
--Sells "handmade" jade, which is China-code-speak for reproduction

The coins:

--Highly counterfeited Panda 1 oz
--Lists coins in Antiques category, not coins
--Selling, sometimes, for less than spot including the shipping from China

There is a Chinese Coin Forum that discusses this specific fake, and I used one of their comparisons below, and added the item in question.

To moxking, I analyser the metallic content using x-ray analyser. X-ray can easily penetrate the plated layer to reveal the metallic content inside.

if this is an actual fake coin, the seller is taking an extreme amount of risk. The Chinese Government has a zero tolerance for counterfeiting of Chinese currency (unless its obsolete)

It matches the fake coin, and doesn't match the genuine coin.

There are an entire series of Panda forgeries that the Coin Watch Committee uncovered - ebay had comparison photos of many of them that I prepared.

Regarding this comment:

I would only agree with this statement if it is made in light of the sales location. It is not at all uncommon for Chinese forgers to make fakes of pandas and other Chinese items for overseas sales. The Chinese government has NO prohibitions on export of COUNTERFEIT Pandas. At least that is what the ebay manager I dealt with heard in response to our innumerable complaints about this practice.
