Hello all.
I'm trying to ID this tiny note.
What's interesting is the inscription "American bank note co."
Dimensions are 4,2 x 6,8 cm.
Can anyone help me out here?

It was originally a bond coupon for a Russian bond from the time of the Russian Civil war. The bonds and the coupons were Monetized and made legal tender in certain areas due to shortage of currency and coins.

http://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67...408100/m1/1/Here is a like bill. In case you don't read Russian. The top says
"16 October 1925 year".
Series Number 85
Billet Number 17
Flower image on the left says fourth class or category.
It says 4 rubles 50 Kopeck in the black box on the right.
It probably cost 4.5 rubles and had a maturing value of 15. But that is just a guess.

Thank you both for your input.
I also found this on (204) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed : (204) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed .com/en/banknotes/list/country/4146-Russia/series/41093-Specialized_Issues_Siberia_Urals/item_name/4%252E5/sort/by_catalog_code
the banknote is categorised under 'Specialized Issues Siberia and Urals." It states that the overprint was made in 1920 by the Bolsheviks.

Somethings about this note does not add up for me ...
1. If the series is dated in 1917 and overprint in 1920, what's the deal with 16 October 1925?
2. It also puzzles me what's with the number 15 if the banknote clearly states it's value (4.5 rubles)?
3. Was the banknote printed in the US? On every type I could find there's the same inscription "American Bank Note Co.
Any clues?

EDIT: There seems to be a problem with linking to that specific website

As I stated it was originally a bond coupon. It was part of a sheet of coupons. The number 15 indicates it represented the 15th interest payment of 4 rubles 15 kopecks. The date is the date the 15th interest payment was due.

Yes, the original bond and coupons were printed in the US by ABNC.
