I found a 1999 P Connecticut Quarter that has dramatic doubling of some sort. I was curious what anybody else thought about this. Opinions please?!

I believe you are seeing Strike Doubling which does not carry a premium. However, hopefully one of our error experts will respond with a more knowledgable opinion.

Four, I believe Susan is right on this one. That said, the first pic still has me wondering.

It's an odd looking combination of Machine Doubling and Die Deterioration Doubling. It's a die that has wasted away, and this particular strike was a bit loose...that's all I see on it.

Thank you for clarifying that, I was confused. I still think it's a pretty cool looking though, it's the first one like that that I've seen.

I'd keep it too. It's cool looking and different.

I noticed how all the "doubling" tapers to the tips of the branches, without doubled points. I assume if this were a true DDO, we'd see some separation there with all the design complexity. Still, it's a very good coin to check because any DDO should be readily apparent.

For jis,
The Connecticut has Machine Doubling on the Connecticut and inside the loops on the 8's. Not necessarily the same coin. Yours is the first that I have seen with the doubling on the tree. If you like errors and varieties it's a keeper.
