So sorry to hear about Jeff. This was one of our last PM's; Thanks Jeff. I'll keep an eye out for Texas Nationals. I search for Florida mainly, but am also looking for a small size Kingsville Texas for my brother, that was born there. I finally found an example, it's at PMG being graded.

Steve, I printed out some stats yesterday and found your PMG note pictured in the Gilbert pamphlet on E-Sylum..
Can I assume the Gilbert Article listed on "The E-Sylum: Volume 15, Number 22, May 27,2012, Article 21" is your article..
If so, I have referenced the production sheet numbers here and elsewhere (including questions to the BEP)..

Yes. It was an excerpt taken from the article I wrote for the May-June edition of Paper Money Magazine published by the SPMC.

I was a member of SPMC for a good number of years, along with a subscription of Bank Note Reporter that mirrored SPMC.. I used to collect all forms of U.S. Paper from the 1970's to around 1998 (Colonial to Broken Bank to current small size currency).. I joined ebay in 1997, and found my real love of Numismatics, Errors.. I liquidated everything in one lot, let my membership expire and jumped into the world of errors.. I started with USA only, then expanded it to include Global Errors, both coins & currency.. I have been thinking of joining SPMC again & revisiting Bank Note Reporter as I reached a dead end on population reports for confirmed errors..

Quote: My Gilbert note just got back from PMG in their new clear holder. I was hoping for a 65EPQ and ended up with a 66EPQ. I believe this is the only known graded Gilbert. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Steve, The note below is on ebay, and you may want to add the Mule description on your Gilbert Note, linking it to the Silver Certificate reverse from series 1957B.. The note in the holder can be purchased Raw on the Bay in CU condition for under $10.00

I've got a ton of 1963 $1 Mules. I probably have more 1963 $1 mules than non-mules.

I was surprised to see the S/C & FRN notation listed on the holder, and the premium being asked for a note that can currently be purchased raw for under $10..

Steve, I found this was posted above your post on the Gilbert Blog a few days after your post.. I had replied with a question requesting he post a photo and confirmation that it is a genuine Gilbert Note that was printed for the G-B Block.. He has yet to reply.. This would mean another 20,000 sheet Run would be added to my census under "Awaiting Confirmation".. I'm about to answer GoldenChest's question on the first page on why I suggested he purchase some series 1963 $1 C-* and 1963A G-G & G-* Blocks.. I assume he has not, and showing how much I believe my suggestion is a valid one, in the last 2 weeks I had strayed from purchasing only errors and had purchased 15 of these notes in CU condition.. I will also note that someone else must be on the wavelength as I am, as there is not one series 1963A G-G Block on ebay in raw AU - CU condition.. Did you find out what they're asking for one of the G-G Gilbert Notes that were in the Safe? I'm still working on the details for posting my out-of-the-box theory on confirmation of both Gilbert & Natick Test Paper notes.. I've been trying to locate any Contract Information between the BEP & Natick Paper, because I believe that Natick delivered more then the 136,000 Sheets the BEP used in their August 1981 printings.. On the Aug. 1981 $10 Natick Production, it is confirmed that 256,000 Star Replacement Notes for the E-*(star) Block had been printed (with no other Natick data on the $10's).. In the same month, the BEP prints 14 Runs of $10. FRN's for the E-B Block (Runs #37 to #50) - E46080001B to E64000000B 17,920,000 Ten Dollar Notes and ZERO Star Replacements are listed for Crane Paper.. Question that needs to be answered is' Why would the BEP print 17 Runs on Crane Paper and the only replacement for FLAWED Notes are Natick Paper Test Notes.. I believe that one or more of the 14 Runs were on Natick Paper..

Thanks Steve..
Census updated in new post.. Did you contact jim61 with the new serial numbers (I think he also charts plate position & numbers)?
On your Gilbert Notes for the G -G Block, is there a confirmed Date of when the Sales Dept. recorded the Notes distributed?
My estimated date of BEP serialing this Block is in late 1968..

Jim is aware, and also mentioned he believes the same cosigner has a pack of these notes.
Prices may plummet.

From my previous Natick Census post showing what 100 note Bank Packs released these 19 overprint on back errors. Quote: E79099601H - E79099700H (Bank Pack B4) E79099672H (error) And recently added from this bank pack; E79099669H E79099670H E79099671H Quote: Jim is aware, and also mentioned he believes the same cosigner has a pack of these notes.
Prices may plummet. There are still three serials awaiting confirmation, and if found in this same bank pack as the four above error notes, then all 19 Sheets will have been confirmed as overprint on back errors.. They are; E79099663H E79099664H E79099667H Maybe you can confirm this person has these.. Thanks

I added 5 new Natick error serials 9 days ago and sent GoldenChest the following message about 5 days ago; Quote:Not sure if you're still tracking Natick overprint on back error notes or not on your census.. I just added 5 new notes to my census a few days ago, and show 40 Natick overprint errors.. I'm not posting anymore census info threads due to lack of interest.. 5 new notes are listed as 1 lot on ebay.. Cheers These 5 notes come from a different Bank Pack then the 3 errors at Heritage last month.. To date, 288 of the 304 Natick overprint errors have entered circulation with one sheet still awaiting confirmation (it is possible that 100 Note bank pack was recovered, time will tell).. The 40 Errors are from the 18 Sheets, and verifies 288 errors from the 15 Bank Packs had entered circulation.. My old Census is available for any member wanting to take it over..

I've got a feeling that the population may double once some of these come out of hiding.
