I am not sure the word COPY is large enough - the law stipulates a minimum of 3mm high and 6 mm long for large coins.

eBay.com does not allow replicas, COPY or not.

nss-52 I agree completely that ebay does not allow such an item.

My comment was meant for TypeCoin971793 and was that the coin does not really comply with the letter of the HPA. To comply for a large coin the stamp must be INCUSE and no smaller than 3 mm high and 6 mm long and 0.3 mm deep. Based on the size of a Brasher Dubloon the word COPY is too small.

The original dubloon was about 30 mm in diameter which qualifies as a coin over the "small" limit of 12 mm in diameter. Calculating the size of the actual word COPY on this edition - I arrived at 2.3 mm long for the lettering in a longer oval (almost 6 mm). That is less than half the minimum size of 6 mm for just the lettering. I believe that it may also be a raised letter stamp within an oval recess (which is not allowed). It is sufficient to say the stamp does not comply with HPA regardless of any ebay rule.

I agree that all of these copies, fantasies and reproductions - including modern EVASIONS should all be removed.
