Hi All. Looking to hear the personal opinions from those who have purchased from an e-bay seller named coins.4.fun?

Thanks

I don't understand why almost all this sellers stock indicates "pre-order" and I'm not referring only to new releases. Appears for example a buyer purchases NCLT at the inflated price and then seller places an order with RCM or a dealer who has stock on hand, otherwise it holds minimal inventory. As opposed to selling a product, it's an intermediary selling an offer to order? While I've never read ebay's listing policies, it's surprising to me that items not on hand can be sold.

By seeing the amount of coins he or she has either a Canada Post dealer or a RCM dealer, most likely a CP franchiser.

He also takes RCM images and watermarks them as his own.

He/she is a member here, check the "eBay/CCF member list".

It's a very unusual dealer who has little or no inventory even for past releases. Appears to me more like a private individual and a new twist on flipping a pre-order that they have no way of guananteed will be filled by a second party.

Where this could cross the line of ethics - what if one had 5 pre-orders filled at $200 and as time passes waiting for the delivery, the price of the item jumped to $300. Might the unscrupulous cancel the $200 pre-orders and re-list at $300?

Doesn't explain why the "one of a kind" listing for the 2016 uncirculated set, after another CCF member had already began a popular thread here about his or her find.

Lol, if you're so concerned why don't you contact them and ask instead of ranting? Maybe they missed the thread and didn't know how many of these have been discovered.
Rest in Peace

asking will usually result in honest answers from the majority of sellers. Lack of answers means it's time to move on.

Pardon me, my reply was in reference to the seller being a CCF member.

Odd thing, a few days ago when I made a comment about sellers such as this listing RCM products prior to release at considerable markup, potential buyers being unable to determine how much the item is being inflated above RCM's future and unknown issue price, I also noticed I unknowingly entered into hostile territory.

If coin collectors, NCLT or otherwise, bear no responsibloty for maintaining an ethical buy/sell environment, then who's to blame as the hobby continues to dwindle. You notice the active reporting of ebay counterfeits? That's one example of looking out for others. I don't think any new collector appreciates discovering they've been thrown into a pit of sharks. Discussions such as this serve to educate, at the end of the day buyers are within their right to make their own decisions.

there is a ton of people who only buy off of ebay, and they have no idea about coin forums for knowledge, let alone know they can buy direct from the mint..

as far looking out for fellow collector's goes, I would guess 99% plus people who buy on ebay are not members of a forum who can pre-educate them.. you would need to go on ebay and post a warning on every coin listed , that wait I think that price is too high...educating new buyers can only be done with the ones who seek out an education..the rest will learn the hard way..to come on here and complain about re-sellers does nothing to help the 99% plus of people who don't frequent this great place..
