So I had one of my "duplicate" listings removed the other day by ebay. Now I thought maybe I made a mistake but when I inspected it I found out that the 2 listing were in fact 2 very different coins. I responded to ebay's email that they had in fact incorrectly removed a listing and their subsequent response was that the coins are very similar so I should do a multiple item listing and not list them individually.
huh !
now I will state that the coins in question are coins from the same mint roll and they have the same description in the title, but no 2 coins (especially 50 year old copper coins such as these!) are the same and I took the time to photograph each coin so people can choose the ones they want.
I have of course responded to ebay again explain this and asking them to remedy this or otherwise contact PCGS and NGC and tell them how they are wasting their time grading coins as they are all the same but I feel , given the generic nature of the response I got, that I will have no joy progressing on this issue.
Any ideas/contacts/help on this one guys?

Wait a few days and list it again (or after the 1st auction ends).

Never argue with a bot. It wastes your time and annoys the bot.

So if someone lists three 1909-S VDB cents, they are at risk of having them removed as "duplicate" listings?

Yeah, no one's perfect, not even ebay. I agree with you, but not worth the battle.

I have seen the same coin types listed by the same sellers on many an occasion.
They get around the "Bot" by giving each coin a number after the description in the title.

So instead of listing this "1950 copper coin" twice you list them as "1950 copper coin #1" and "1950 copper coin #2".

This should get you past the "Bot"
Rest in Peace

List the prices differently. One for $9.97, $9.98, $9.99 etc.

If description is the same a one cent price difference escapes the evil bots notice.

(1) and (2) in the title will get you going again.
