It looks a lot like the -007 COC has listed. Does your penny have a die chip on the left Wheat ear ?
Rest in Peace

Yes it is a Lincoln Die Break, II-F-4: "BIE" Variety.

1957 was a big year for BIE's Cohen lists 144 and Hardy lists 568 for the 1957D.

The "B" is showing part of the post broken off the bottom loop. The BIE is a chip on the field.

where can I view a listing of "hardy" and "cohen" listing.
i have quite a few "BIE" coins and enjoy finding how they are catalogued. I have refered to cuds-on-coins site - often, and find it informative and enjoyable, but I would like to view the other sites as well.

thanks in advance for your help.

The Cohen listings are in the1969 edition of "THE CLASSIFICATION AND VALUE OF ERRORS ON THE Lincoln Cent" by Jean Cohen.

The Hardy listings are in the "BIE Handbook" Edited by Howard O Hardy. It was published in 1972 for the BIE ODDITY COLLECTORS GUILD.
