This is my favorite obverse design of any coin I own. There's something about the crown that I find very pleasing to the eye.

Thanks for looking!

Does anyone else see some "haloing" around the portrait?

Not sure why they didn't keep this design. The proportions and symmetry of the bust really draw your eye. I also love the detail in the beard and crown. I can stare at this coin all day.

I'd love to see a picture of your 1935 dollar Jimmy D.

It would be nice if you could see people's avatars in full size wouldn't it?

Hi AgHoarder-
I agree that they should have retained the 1935 Obverse instead of changing it in 1936.
It just doesn't have the same "pop" as the 1935. I have 10 1935 Dollars so I used this picture from one I had on file.

I'm with AgHoarder, it's also my favourite obverse. I'd say this one is MS-64. Beauty.

MS64 for the OP's coin
Also my favorite of all Canadian coins.
I have at least a dozen of 'em.
Always on the lookout for nicely toned examples.
