Sometimes Charles its not always that easy. Take for example the top coin museum in Venice.
I really have no desire for Italian Coins of any shape or form but as you display here you never know what OTHER coins of the WORLD will pop up.
Since my time will be limited I will just do the standard tour with the other tourists. I do however own several Papal Seals ...
For the backroom private tours you really need a 1/2 day ... if you can do it ... make up a good story ... well you see I am doing this research project with Mr. Berman on Papal Medals next Fall ... LOL.
The museum's reply -
Dear Mr. Lorenzo,
If you'll be visiting Venice in XXXX, you'll see a choice of our collection in the exposition of Museum Correr: a lot of the Venetian coins (about 1000 pieces), a few Greek and Roman coins and a few Renaissance medals.
The coins that are not displayed in museum, are shown only upon reasoned request, for a specific research or study and in a number restricted of pieces.
In that case you can write to me for ask an appointment specifying the reason of request and the type of coins to see.
Best regards
