I was wondering if I could get your opinions on my coin if it's a PMD or genuine. Your feedback would be appreciated as I am still learning

Thanks

to the CCF! Based on your photos (the middle one) I'd say that is definite post mint damage. And it could well be intentional damage. Something to the effect of a couple kids trying to see if the can split the two-pence into two pence. Get my meaning?

I would put something like that into my bottle labeled "Interesting".

Anybody have an hypothesis where this coin could leave the mint in such shape after being damaged during a strike?

Rest in Peace

The edge is flat struck and does not display any demarcation on the rim. It's just damage.
