Can't believe that TypeCoin didn't beat me to the punch on this one!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/301862057733

Seemed like a fair bet @ $0.40 each, but the mix turned out to be much better than the pictures led me to believe. Of course the lot is largely made up of Qianlong cash, but there were a surprising number of earlier Qing, plus Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese. A few of the "dragon" 10 cash are in surprisingly good shape, and there is a small silver that I believe is a 3.6 candareen from Kirin.

Also I know squat about world banknotes. Are those 5,000 cash notes anything special? Both seem to be AU.

If the Kirin 3.6 candareen is genuine - that alone is worth more than 35 dollars, which means that you got the rest for free!

At least one was identified as Song in a 2x2, but I strongly suspect there are at least a few more from the Song dynasty.

Also, there is a Victoria 1900 Hong Kong 5 cents which is a $2 coin normally, but I think this one has a nice Cud.

I already have examples of most of those. I am glad you snagged them. The lots I usually go for are the pre-Qing for about $0.25 apiece, and maybe more if I see something I like.

I don't need any more cash right now. If fact, I am about to throw an attributed lot of 1000 Chinese coins from the Warring States period to the Qing Dynasty on ebay. These are my extras, so I don't need any more.

Very nice lot! I have just begun trying to learn more about the Asian cash coinage, very, very steep learning curve I have found!
Rest in Peace

An excellent looking lot for the price and it sounds like you found some nice coins included.

Started going through the lot slowly as time allows. Have the coins sorted by type, but will need to get official tallies at a later time. There is one that I could use some help with however:

Cash-Haul

(Sorry for the picture, haven't had a chance to image the coin yet)

It's about the size of a silver dollar, which leads me to believe it is a 50 cash. No English anywhere on the coin, and the other side is just more writing, not a dragon. I'll get better pics hopefully by tomorrow, but does anyone recognize this one?
