It is fortunate there are so many famous and not-so-famous people in the world. Otherwise, Monaie de Paris would run out of subject for their coins. (Deserves some fruit .)

Somebody asked me a question on that hair from Marie Curie
I looked up Monnaie de Paris and they have like 42 coins on issue this year alone
I found out that the picture with hair on the coin probably is a publicity stunt from one of the most pricey coindealers in Germany

They can't take good pictures because they are too cheap or lazy to buy a decent camera and learn how to use it even though it would mean that they would greatly increase the amount realized on their coins and probably make enough money on the first sale of a coin such as this with a decent image to cover the cost of the camera. I just reviewed a bunch of auctions looking for 1879 Carson City Morgans. Fully half, maybe more had poor images, so I just skipped over them. Good pictures = good money.

Of course you are correct
Problem is some people take bad pictures to deceive
some use their gsm because they are cheap
some do not do better because they are lazy
How to find the deceiver amidst the lazy ?

Ageka, it is indeed good to have you back!

What is the white part of this coin on both sides? It looks almost bimetal.

Monnaie de Paris are masters at making a coinfinish in up to four different "grains "
polished
sanded
grainy
liny
Look at my avatar it got four different finishes on one half ounce coin
I did not realise but this is the guilotine coin I showed before
It is the commemorative for 25 years since the abolition of the death penalty
So on one side you see the hihgly polished guillotine and on the other side just a fancy background to the girl

Le petit prince
Caracter from the book by St Exupere
This is the book where the little price is on a small planet that turns around so fast that the only lamppost "reverbere" needs to be lighted and turned off in an endless series of night and day

70% over melt by the first bid
Only 2000 coins struck
