Honestly I just don't like it. Although it is certainly a key date I would not be interested in this coin, even if it was cheap by any standards.
I realize that there are plenty of collectors who would be very happy to own this coin or to use it as a hole filler, but I'm just not one of them.

No problem with that assessment moxking. I actually have a PCGS VF20 as my main coin. Corrosion of this severity is not attractive to say the least.

I appreciate your understanding. I don't like to insult (most) coins, but I do believe it's good for everyone NOT to jump on the bandwagon just because a coin is scarce or rare.

I encourage problem free whenever possible. Most problem coins I get a great deal on or it's a pass.

I would suggest that this coin will be body bagged at any third party grading service. No grade at all. PCGS corroded.

It's a flip anyway. Anyone that knows this key knows this a genuine example. PCGS would holder this coin. They only body bag questionable authenticity or what they deem as such.

PCGS would give it a Genuine grade.
VF-35 details, maybe XF-40

I've read up a little on collector coin counterfeiting, and it's possible this could even be a cast counterfeit, many are known for having pits and poor surfaces.

Anyone with any doubt that this is a counterfeit, and BTW welcome to the CCF obiejj, can be rest assured that I have over 30 years buying and selling coins in all arenas, shows, ebay, brick and mortar, online. This coin is the real deal genuine. Let's get back to a details grade as I've asked please or don't participate. Thank you.

It looks to me as if it was a 'dug' coin so I'm sure it would receive a details designation, I think EF-40 details

EF40 details for me. I bet it will still sell well if you put it on ebay. Back in my younger days of collecting I would have purchased it for a hole filler especially considering the date/mm on this one.

Just my thoughts again.. This coin to me is just a good in someones collection as a G-04/6 IMO, I mean a G-04 is nothing to get excited about so, I wouldn't mind this coin in my collection if I needed one....I love the Lincoln cents..
