Please excuse my terminology if I get it wrong, I am only very new to all of this. We were going through my partners coin collection and have so far come accross these 2 coins. Firstly we have a 1964 Penny with a ramstrike and what looks like fading on the print.(is that called brockerage?)
Secondly there is a 1931 Florin with a large crack/surface fischer on one side and many hairline lines on the face side. Completely unsure if this is just to age and deterioration after being minted or if was a genuine flaw to the coin. Rubbish coin or genuine, I have no idea. Please see pics

Florins are contemporary counterfeits, not fakes.
Used to be fairly commonly available in dealers' junk bins 30 years ago, but not now.

A real .925 silver two bob had considerable buying power, and the counterfeiters in the Great Depression were often tempted.

Yes, the florins are counterfeit. The penny, is indeed a ramstrike,

Thank you for your replies. As I said, I know pretty much nothing about any of this and am trying to self educate. This world of coun collecting is so completely fascinating!
