hello CCF

i found this nice looking cent but I noticed PMD?
or is it a legit error?

i took some pics to show
but I can't get any closer to c if there is evidence of a hit/hits that would cause this.

Sorry, not an error, just a case of PMD (Post Mint Damage).

so it probably is PMD but there is a but I think

hypothetical, if something heavy would fall on the 2 would that not destroy the middle ridge in the process? which should not be there in the first place

could you determine that from closer up? microscope or something?

Seems to be in a perfect spot. I'm not sure on this, but am leaning towards genuine seeing that the patinia in the groove is consistent with the surface.

i ordered a usb microscope to enjoy our hobby a little better, I'm shure that will give us more clues in the comming days, atleast I hope it will solve 'this case' hehe

To me it's a definate PMD. (Nice scope pics btw). I don't think that the raised sides on both extremidies could be there if it were a stike error.
