To let thing ride so you force ebay & or pay pal to take control and make all decisions is so much not the way to go.

I got a neg removed only because my history said I deal with stuff as a seller when it happens very quickly.

If I am not sure I talk to ebay & pay pal by email as a seller and by phone as a buyer. I have got the best results doing things this way.

ebay & pay pal have never had to force me to pay anything.

As a seller the buyer is always right. It is an old saying that is a very good one.

You are right. If you notice in my previous post, I chose to refund the patient buyer. If the seller doesn't resolve the case before it escalates, it goes as a strike against them, and I was tired of dealing with it. Doesn't matter how right you are.

Now, today I just received word from my poster that a miracle has occurred, and the package has been located and is out for delivery today. Well, I guess it's good news. Hopefully buyer will do the right thing. Not sure if I should get out ahead of it, and contact the buyer, or just give them a chance to contact me. My gut says chill, and give them a chance.

I had that happen before, after I had refunded the buyer.

what I did was contact the buyer and tell them I would reimburse them for the postage to send back to me if they still did not want the coin/coins, and thanked them for their time.

They paid right after they received them.

It's up to you but I would let them know that, you know, the coins are coming.

Yes, that was interesting, because I called ebay, and asked them how to collect, since the package was delivered, and they suggested paypal invoice, etc. So I guess ebay washes their hands of it once the case was closed.

The check came today and it immediately went into the bank. The bank that only charges $10 for a bounced check, not the one that charges $32

Well, it's been 2 weeks, and no bad news from the bank, so I'm assuming it cleared.

It would be nice if all buyers had the same patience, integrity, and class as this one.

Tie this one up and put a bow on it, after 2 months it's finally over.
