coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/16/2016 12:37 pm They was a problem for several (in the 80s) years until they figured out the problem with them. There was an issue with zinc dust on the planchets that were getting plated on the coins making a rough surface. But since they figured out a better way to rinse them before plating, they have been a whole lot better. Report this Post to the Staff
