I find myself attracted to this coin for the tone and texture.
I know it is not a mint issue, but do any of the other members keep coins just cause they find them attractive even though they have no value other than mint value.
I know to each his own but would some of the members really put this in a flip to save it?

The pics do not do the coin justice as it has a deep orange copper color and a wood type of grain on the reverse.

I welcome opinions of my community.

I have many coins that aren't worth anything but, I like and them for various reasons - some are PMD like Seal mentioned above and others are just because they are unique in color or a die chip is in a funny place.

Always keep what you like, but you could just keep those in a coin tube.

Not sure if it is a woody but kinda looks like it, you would need to post a picture of the reverse - should have the same design on it. I have about 10 woodies, they are cool to have.

I am still in the learning stage so other experts will let you know.

I like to keep unique ones handy, because friends/family come over and it is fun to show them what strange coins I have actually found, then we start looking through all their change - fun - coins are great conversation pieces.

Or pressed in a vise between two files? Either way it is now damaged.

I keep coins that I'm attracted to. I have even kept coins that are clearly PMD, but I think they look cool for one reason or another.

I think your coin fell into a meat grinder then was placed into a commercial dish washer.
All kidding aside ; There is no reason to put that Lincoln in a 2x2. It is PMD and cleaned. Sorry if we disappointed you.

No disappointment T-Bop I know it looks bad..lol And I know it was not a mint error. As ugly as it is I find it has appeal. No one has offended me I promise.
Rest in Peace
