1982 US Penny With Mint Error In Year (Image Attached)

As you can see, this penny has been in circulation for a while. I was sorting through some of my copper stash when I noticed the 8 didn't look quite right. Though the image doesn't show it, the top of the 8 isn't a solid blob. There is a well defined partial hole where it would have been had the 8 been formed correctly. Would an error like this be worth gradng, selling, keeping for later, or spending? I've never seen an error quite like this. The best description beyond what been written already is the 8 looks as if something had somehow pushed in the 8 before being completely solid and the area of the location wher the full 8 was supposed to be appears to be raised a little, but with no definition.

It is coin contact from circulation. Worth copper melt. No premium above that for this. Just a damaged coin. PSD

You will notice a small scratch above left of the 8 that travels to the area of the 8 that looks like it's been pushed in. That's what caused the pushed in area of 8.
