When I started this I used to order boxes from a bank that used Brinks, it was a pain but I was just figuring this out and I wanted the halves. Later I started getting boxes that Loomis delivered, didn't take long to figure out Loomis boxes had more of what I was looking for and I got to where I could get enough boxes without Brinks. Subsequently I started dumping into different branches of that first bank and I mean dumping! The last several months I consistently dumped $4-8,000 a week depending on how much hunting $$$ I had and how many boxes I could get ME hands on.
Lately my order banks seem to have trouble keeping ME supplied so I called that first bank (never dumped at the main branch) and ordered a couple boxes for grins. Yesterday I picked them up, strangely they were FED boxes instead of Brinks- that was a nice surprise that only happened once before when I ran them out of halves- wait, How could they possibly be OUT of halves? This morning I go to one of my branches I dump at once or twice a week and I got that sick feeling as I waited for the Armoured truck to pull out of the driveway sos I could pull in- you guessed it LOOMIS. When did that happen? I tried to ask the teller but she said she didn't know. Wonder how long I have beeen dumping into my own supply line. Fortunately I have another dump bank with 6 branches I can utilize and will exclusively from now on- maybe my finds will increase after I wade through my dumps.
Just when I had the game figured out they changed the players.
HH all, Mark

Now that is really interesting. I just spend the halves rather then taking them back to the bank.

Last time I searched rolls, I kept a few opened rolls of Kennedy cladded halfs around. I was using them to tip the Pizza guy every week.

First, they would look at them with a "What the heck?" look. Then after a moment, they got a look like they were just given something valuable. Then that look was always quickly replaced by a shifty look sideways. LOL they always thought I was some crazy guy giving out valuable coins.

I often wondered if any of them took them to a dealer expecting a fat paycheck?

Wow, that is a lot of halves! Do they charge you when you order the halves like that? I think we would go crazy if someone ever dumped that many halves on us on at one time. The most amount of halves we have had at one time in the branch is $3.

Yeah I don't think I could ever do that many halves most of the time I dump halves at my bank the machine fills up and they have to empty it and it takes them a while so I'm stuck there waiting. I do occasionnally spend the halve sand the reactions are great.

When I went to a bank to try and get a box of halves, I walked up to this young and very attractive teller, and asked if they had any half dollars. She said, "you mean the big ones?"
"Yea, a 50 cent piece."
"ok, just to check," she opened her drawer and pulled out a kennedy, "you mean these right?"

Wow, I figured that everyone knew what a 50 cent piece was...

Funny ! funny ! ........The same thing happens to me all the time...and yeah..they seem to be "really attractive" ! It's really weird how many people seem to not even know what they are !
But you know.....I guess if they're 19-22 years old......and that Kennedy half is "non-existant" at most places.....still funny though.................

It's funny when I go to my bank and order my penny boxes. <<Edited by Forum Dad - Absolutely NOT Acceptable>> I guess that's a good sign that there isn't many hunters in my area. And there's A LOT of retired folk out here. I'm going to graduate to Halves for the next few months.
