Another find from the weekend. This really has a crazy crack in the bottom bands and under it. It look cool so not sure if this is a specific type of crack or break? There is a smaller die chip and possible crack above the top bands and another between 2 leaves on the left side of the coin. It is fun one.

He also has a die crack on the head leading to more die chips and about 3 or 4 die chips in the mouth area.

And what is up with the doubling on the letters, Worn Die Doubling? No matter how I do my scope and lighting it will not focus.

Let me know your thoughts please.

A lot of chips and die small cracks. The doubling does look yo be from Die Deterioration. And the chips and crack obviously show the age of that poor die

I know it's crazy, I can imagine what the 2016's will be (lots of fun) On the cents I really don't see all curvy cracks, is this type of crack more common to dimes?
Rest in Peace

I would call this one the Pimply Rosy. Obvious that poor die was on it's last legs.

I don't look at dimes very often because there just doesn't seem to be the large variety that the cents have. I mostly look for pre 1965 and the 1982 no mm. So when I saw this I was surprised and thought it would be interesting enough to post.
