1980-D Jefferson nickel - Possible DDO with Non-Listed yet?

I been looking through a few years with no listed varieties

I pulled a few things that look like possible contenders.

This 1980-d was one of them that was very interesting to me.

I am no nickel expert but some things about this coin seem like it could be good.

Any comments or suggestions..

pictures of all outer devices and of course not all of then are affected

I'm no expert I would say it looks good on some devices but very minor which would be why it wasn't listed. The G and the RU look like it to me Some of what I think you are seeing it a mix of that and some Die Deterioration. But let's wait and see what others think.

I agree with tweak. I still save these though. I inventory them into my collection and note die markers. (on proof nickels, the flat edge of the rim is also a good place to check for die markers)

Next time you take your images, try reducing the glare and the angle that you take the images. Note the light is so strong causing glare that probably shines so white, that what you want to show, is in the light. Try taking the images so the light falls across the devices from the other side, allowing the shadow to cast its light over the area in question. That will allow us to see it. The image right now are like a blinding spot light and all we see is white in that area. When you get another chance, that might help your images a lot more.
