Hi everyone, I am not sure this is the correct department but I have a question. I sent some tokens off for attribution, and my mail lady did not deliver them back to me. The return envelope with the 3 coins was sent registered and insured and were not in my box nor did the mail lady come by my house for a signature. Has anyone had this happen? I insured them and am wondering what hoops I have to go through to at least get the money they were worth back. I would love to have the coins instead but dosent' look like that is going to happen as of now anyway. Thanks in advance for your sharing your experiences. I hope the US Government will pull through on this one.Jean

I'm confused. Did you mail 3 tokens registered insured and that package was lost?

Or were your 3 tokens being returned to you via registered insured mail and it was delivered to you without requiring you to sign for them. And the 3 tokens were missing from that package?

If they were sent registered and insured then you are fully covered. Contact your local postmaster and file a claim.

If they were sent registered it is highly unlikely they are lost. Registered mail almost NEVER disappears completely. It may be very slow getting delivered but it almost always shows up. How do you know it has arrived? If the Post office tracking shows that it has been delivered take the tracking number to the post office and it is probably still sitting there waiting for another delivery attempt.

Not exactly clear what the situation is or what you are specifically asking for.

CCF is a public forum, we are not affiliated with any of the TPG companies (e.g. PCGS, ICG, etc.)

Between the time you sent them off and they should have been returned, they were in the custody of the TPG. Your transaction with USPS was the 1st journey from you to the TPG. If they received them, then that's done - and that is all you insured.

This is the 2nd transaction, from the TPG to you. Apparently you have not received the coins.

Have you contacted the TPG? That's your first stop, their customer service, since THEY are the one who sent the return package, they are the one with the tracking number and they are the party that is insured.

Thank You all for your comments...first I have good news, I called the postoffice again the next day and my package was in the post office vault. I guess we have a "new" mail person and he just decided to return my package back to office. I was home all day and he never showed up for a signature. Second, you are correct in saying that the sender is the insured, and gets paid, that is why you always want to deal with a "real" business that has a paper trail showing that you wanted so much $$$$ in insurance when they mail back your coins. You are also correct in saying this doesn't happen because it is registered. It truly was very unlikely that I would not get the package... Great ending! and Thanks so much for the comments. Jean

Good...

Insurance is nice and it can cover the monetary loss but nothing beats the feeling of having your coins back in your hands.

I love a happy ending!
