Here's another British Commonwealth section. It is about the coinage of Brunei.Prior to the coinage of 1967,Brunei had only ever had 3 coins - a tin 1/2 Pitis & 1 Pitis dated AH1235,plus a copper 1 Cent dated AH1304 (1887).Brunei became a British protectorate in 1888.The currency of Brunei is called the Bruneian Dollar (or 'Ringgit' in the Malayan language),which is divided into 100 Cents (or 'Sen').Brunei has been a fully independent member of the British Commonwealth since 1984.
