Not interested in buying this coin, but curious as to CCF's opinion -- PCGS states this coin is VF25 -- to me it looks more like F details cleaned, or am I being overly critical?

The reverse certainly looks to be correctly graded. I can't tell if the obverse is a weak strike or just a bad angle on the photo.

It looks like natural gray toning around the devices, but I'm no expert on that.

Details are definitely VF, but it has also definitely been cleaned.

It looks dipped and is starting to re-tone. Possibly a diluted dip as some of the original peripheral toning was retained. VF25 is correct and the auction price reflects the below average eye appeal.

It's a VF-25 but it does look cleaned. Should have been in a "details" slab.
Rest in Peace

Grade is correct. Cleaning can't be determined from those photos, I don't think. Dark peripheries and light centers usually indicate it was dipped and retoned many years ago. But I'm not seeing anything that absolutely tells of cleaning.

Think the guys are correct here as usual. I think it may be slightly overgraded, but, these are hard to come by,problem free. Love the design and the coin
