looks VF ish?
i bid on it because I looked in my RedBook and position of the head and wreath led me to believe this coin to be a N-4

All 1843 Petite Head Large Letters are N-4, so you are right about that. All things considered, including, your 0 feedback, two other bidders were close to your bid, sellers decent feedback......I'd say you did ok for approx 18 USD. That being said the photos are horrible, so hope for the best on that end. I'd look for better pics if possible next time. Probably not that easy buying US coins living in Belgium.

yeah first time I buy on ebay
i only payed 8€ (9$) for the coin itself but I opted for signed delivery to avoid problems with mail delivery so that was kinda the same price.

and 2 be honest ....i was't shure of the diffrece between large and small letters so I just went by position

as for the pics I took a educated guess that there is a wee bit of verdigris in the right field next to the head
its just a pain to find a good old american coins down here I think got lucky with this one
that and I was affraid a American would outbid me hehehe
and thx for that innformation edweather a other thing I learned
Rest in Peace

My guess is the coin has corrosion.
But it has very little wear, is nice, and very inexpensive.
good buy

I would be happy with that I think...

I only recently got a large cent coin and was pleasantly surprised how nice they are in hand. This one is attractive enough, and while not perfect seems an honest coin for a fair price.

Well david I'm happy with it and I think that is what counts I knew in advance it would not be a MS coin

one thing though ,she has some chatter going on on her cheek that is a small thing that bothers me a bit, but for 8€
I realy must not complain

thx for comming in

Based on the sellers pictures, I would have passed.

Based on your pictures, I would have paid what you did,
without thinking about.

Nice coin with good eye appeal

Many large cents have more problems than this one does.

nice looking coin. Looks F-15 on obverse and vf 20 to 25 on reverse. Few rim dings but nothing too terrible.
