Is this coin worth anything? What is the history behind these coins? All help is appreciated.

Well nevermind, I have the pictures I can email, but this forum will not let me post my pictures because file size must be below 90kb and my pictures are 117.8kb and I have no idea how to make them smaller. Email if you want to see a picture of them and I will email them directly. Thanks for any help. Two of the coins are 1901 5Dollar Gold Piece and a 1887 5 dollar gold piece in what appears to me to be in shiny mint condition.

Do you have any type of photo editing software? If you do you should be able to resize the photos.

Connor,

If you are using a PC with any microsoft OS you should have a program called "paint". Right click on your picture file and select "open with". Choose "paint" from the options. On the top menu click on "image" and "stretch/skew". There will be two boxes with "100" in them. Change the "100" to "75" (this is based on your file size of 117kb) in both boxes and select "OK". Then save the file as a ".jpg". It should be around 85~90kb.

From the "reply to post" box on the forum, look for the green camera icon below the reply box and click on it. Choose browse from the pop-up menu and find the file you just resized. Select it and choose "OK". You will now see a string within your post. You will need to delete everything before "http" and everything after ".jpg". There's one more step ... highlight the whole string and go to the top of the post box and select the fourth box from the end "insert image". This will bracket the string with [img] and make it visible in your post.

It may sound complicated, but once you've done it you'll see how easy it actually is. Good luck.

Connor,

The $5 Gold pieces could be mint state, but it's hard to confirm from the pictures. Both dates are "common" in the series. They contain .237312 grams of gold each @ $913 per troy oz, that's $217 in gold. If the coins are in MS 60, you could probably get $300 each for them. I hope you're planning on keeping them, they are gorgeous!

I have no information on the token. Perhaps others here can shed more light on it.

The "token" is one of those gas-station American Presidents Series medals, as discussed in this thread and other threads.
