Inspired by the many coins I have received from other generous CCF'ers, I've done a few of these giveaways. I always have a hard time getting decent D mint coins here in Ohio, so one year I went out looking for D mint Lincolns on
ebay. First off, mostly people sell the P + D together. Then I discovered that I can buy entire rolls for just a little more and then pick the best ones for my collection. So I did that and soon realized 1) I don't really need a bunch of loose cents lying around and 2) most of the coins are really nice (i.e. there isn't really a clear best) and other collectors probably have the same issue I have. So here were are!
To mix it up just a bit, here are the rules:
1) Since it is 2016, you must have 16 quality posts
2) You may get to 16 posts after the giveaway starts as to encourage new members to actively post
3) Giveaway ends when the coins run out but I haven't run out in previous years so Don't Panic
4) I will ship to anywhere that accepts US or US International mail. I have shipped to Finland and Brazil in years past, so you are probably covered
5) Postage and coins are on me and you don't need to send anything in return
6) You may get an envelope with a Christmas stamp. We bought too many. Merry New Year!
7) You will receive 2 2016 uncirculated Lincoln Cents, one P and one D, pulled from a bank wrapped roll
8) Coins will be protected for shipment but not in 2x2's since many people have other plans for them anyway
So, after all that - here's what you need to do:Send me a PM with your address (the little envelope) and make a post in this topic requesting a set.
I will send the coins in batches as I get time but probably a couple batches a week.
Bonus! There are two less obvious book or movie references hidden in the above post. First two posters to guess them will get a little bonus in their shipment. You can only make one guess in your post and that's it.
I think I have covered everything but feel free to post any questions you might have.
