I believe God may have Blessed me with a discovery coin. These quarters are tricky to me because they are considered Class VIII doubling on an already flat design. You can clearly see extra metal though where there should be gaps between the horse's locks of hair. I pointed out the doubled areas and marked them 1 and 2 to help in the close-up pictures. I welcome your feedback.

I believe the areas you are pointing to are showing Die Deterioration.

IMHO - not a expert

Looks like MD to me. Note how the device is reduced. If it were a hub doubled, it would be enlarged not reduced.
