1939-P Jefferson nickel WDDO-002 & WDDO-005

Nice little ebay pick came in mail yesterday to add to the growing collection of nickel varieties.

Looks nice and strong for this one...

Class II, Distorted Hub Doubling

I like the weird distorted doubling

The die looks like it is in the LDS die state when the coin was struck. (die flow) The last image is the one that does look interesting, but I can tell if there is a die chip or spread on some of these devices. (P, L R)

I see it. Difference is yours has more going on in my opinion. I'm focused on the "LU". More research needed. Thanks, Doug.

The TY is slightly different. The 'T' has two notches on the your coin. (Possible TDO?) The notch at the bottom of the 'Y' is different also. (Yours is stronger)
The LU is also different. The bottom of the 'U' has a wider spread on it.

So I would keep looking on this one. You might submit the images to Brian to see what he thinks?

That was my first thought. Like it . Will add more info if found. If not then it speaks pretty loud on its own. Thanks, Doug.
