The only other example I can find is mounted in an identical bezel - perhaps they were sold this way. That example is said to be sterling silver. Elsewhere I find that Mississippi and one other state were the only ones which did not issue an official state Bicentennial medal, so perhaps this was an emission of another source. This one seemingly was Mississippi's entry into that genre (although to your point, I'm not sure if it was officially sanctioned by the state). Might be interesting for a collector of bicentennial items. Not sure on how many were made, but "rarity" would also depend on how many collectors are clamoring for these.
