I have a 1971-S silver proof Eisenhower dollar that has been attributed by PCGS as a Minor Variety TDO (Triple Die Obverse). When I look this coin up the TDO designation is not listed in the Variety parameter. Here is the link:

Huh, good question. Have you tried self matching it on the IDDD site?

Until a variety is WIDELY accepted it will not achieve recognition by the numismatic community and be properly cataloged.
If you read Coin World they are constantly finding varieties of LMC's.
But since it takes a 10x loupe (or more) to see them only specialists will take note of them.
And I NEVER see prices.
Rest in Peace

If you pay the fee PCGS and NGC both will list minor varieties, but neither of them list them in their census.

Thanks, guys. I haven't had a chance to match it with IDDD yet, but I will soon. I don't have the coin in my possession, so I'll try using the TrueView photo. It might be sufficient.
