Random, strange question. Never experienced it but has always been a thought in the back of my mind. I really don't believe in the paranormal all that much, but I think there's some truth to it. Anyone ever have any increase in bad luck, or maybe strange things occurring on in their homes after buying a coin or obtaining a coin? These paranormal shows say that "spirits" can attach themselves to items, so who knows if they can attach themselves to coins.

Well, I often purchase from ebay every once in an while, and it gives me better luck! lol
After purchasing a Canadian $1 bill, I got what appears to be a proof coin from my friend.

Who knows, maybe someone's haunting you. Check the pantry, m8.

Unless the coin was in someone's pocket when they were killed, I would say there is zero chance of a coin having a spirit attached to it. Also, if you were a ghost, would you follow the coin around, or would you stay at a place more significant to you?

Now if it was Grandma's favorite China set that she wanted to stay in the family, but someone in the family sold it against her wishes, then you may run into problems. I see no problems with coins though.

Now don't you guys start making fun of me. I neither believe nor not believe in ghosts. I find interest in the possibility that they might exist.

Nope. No such thing as luck, just how we perceive chance.

As a Catholic I'm not entirely big on the whole roaming of any and all spirits from those who die, but ever since I purchased a FE Cent for a less than fair price I've had horrible luck hunting for LWCs. Perhaps the spirits of former ANA members are angered at me for making a bad purchase and not buying the Blue Book first.

Nope because after an acetone bath all coins get exorcised with sage by a spiritualist

This.

It is all in you head, that is, mentally. We remember the hits and forget the misses.

There was a story about bad luck following 30 pieces of silver. Something about evil of Biblical proportions. I have a Shekel of Tyre of that probable type and it has behaved itself. So no, not especially have I noticed any connection.

Seems like most people don't believe in the bad luck thing. But probably carry a favorite coin for good luck just in case.

Well....what if it was Grandpa's coin collection that he wanted to stay in the family, but someone in the family sold it against his wishes?

Nope. When I kept my Ike it was more for the "my coin is bigger than yours" reason.
