Yeah, I remember this. What a beautiful cabinet! It looks like it has really nice guides allowing you to fully open the drawers without sagging. How many PSI are you running into that insulator. (Kidding of course. Cool design)

I'm not sure about PSI but if it ran on electricity it probably would require 1.21 gigawatts. Or from another movie, 220, 221, what ever it takes.

CelticKnot, I found an old Hamilton catalog and my cabinet was in it. It was manufactured in 1902 and sold for a whopping $27 in that year... It was used in the manual printing process of the day. I'm not 100% certain exactly what they did with it however. It was called a Handy Sort Cabinet, below is a picture from the catalog I found. Mine is the 20 drawer model. One other interesting note, the $27.00 it cost in 1902 for this cabinet translates to $745.61 today..

Beautiful display. It's especially nice when you can find good solid antique furniture that serves a unique purpose. It always amazes me that at local auctions these items sell for a fraction of what a brand new China import would cost.
I guess most folks at auctions are old enough that they already have every corner in the house used up and have no more room for more furniture.
I've done well getting rid of new stuff and replacing it with old stuff. The quality of older pieces is incomparable.

Moxking, you couldn't be more correct. This cabinet is amazing in it's construction. We need to go back to making things like this again. I'm seriously hoping I can find another some day. I got really lucky with this one as it had just been brought to the antique store and the owner wasn't sure she wanted to part with it but after a little coaxing and enough cash.. It was mine
