Found this dime on the bottom of my car. It's super worn, even the edge has been smoothed out. Anything about this that I don't know?

Probably worked over by sanding the reverse down and removing the rims.
Obverse looks like the head was worked over and buffed off the reeds on the outside rim.
Typical coin that was altered and then put back into circulation.

Not a lamination issue. Just an altered coin. PSD

Thanks for the help. I honestly don't know why someone would do that, but it's cool to keep.

its circulation ended 4 years ago (i had this since 2012)

They try to create an error coin. When it is recognized as fake, the toss it back into circulation.

I think people who buy an altered coin are in the same class as the people who alter them.

So much stuff that is junk get sold way to high and stuff that should be a premium coin will go for a bit of nothing on ebay.
