1949S rpm-OO1 stage A or it could just be wishful thinking.

Tommy, maybe it is my poor eyesight, but I just donot see a RPM. The 001 is actually a S/S/S. The other two marks are west or the primary, and dependent on die stage, as to how strong. One of the biggest thing to consider on RPMs when trying to figure out which one it is, is the location of the mint mark itself. on the 001, if you drew a straight line across starting at the tail of the first 9 to the tail of the second 9 that line would be slightly above the mnt mark. Whereas on your coin, that line connecting the two 9's would cut right through the mint mark.

What you are seeing is part of a damaged mint mark punch that is altering the mint mark a bit. The 001 looks like this:
