I am wondering if this would be a Proof coin? The fields are quite reflective (better than some of my DMPL morgans!)

I just picked this beauty up for $129! I think I did ok, what about you?

Nice coin, much nicer than either of mine.
Nearly uncirculated (British grading).

These were not popular at the time of issue, (4/-), and thus saw little circulation, too often confused with the similar sized Crown (5/-).
Many more were kept as keepsakes, in commemoration of Victoria's Jubilee.

This one when freshly struck, must have had a semi cameo appearance. Patination and age (minor scuffing), have caught up with it somewhat.

Not a proof. My example is proof like, not uncommon. I like the toning on yours though.

I do have a proof of this particular coin - yours looks better due to the iridescent toning (mine is relatively dull). It might be my imagination but the teeth on the currency coins seem to be slightly longer than on the proofs (of both varieties).
