The date is in the obv legend. It is a little blurry, especially at the end, but looks like mdccclxxiii (1873) to me.

It also might be interesting if you could provide a close-up pic focused in on the obv edge below QV's shoulder. That may shed light on the die number.

I'd bet on 1874 - can't help with the die number though.
My favorite British coin type when in high grade - I used to have quite a few (no more unfortunately - but they did help pay off the mortgage).
