This one to me looks like MD on the motto. The 4 on the date? What is hub doubled? I see a notch on the 'T' on TRUST.
I don't see a match for this in the CPG. Wexler doesn't list one this year. Variety Vista isn't working. What do you see?

Ocala: FYI: 2012 Cherry Pickers Guide- 5th Edition, Vol II- pg. 182 FS25-1944-101 CONECA- DDO-006 This coin is not MD, it is a DDO. Look at the lower inside of the G in GOD- Clearly has notching Also the T in TRUST is notched. *Description from the Cherry Pickers Guide: Doubling is evident south of the motto " IN GOD WE TRUST" with a medium spread , and somewhat evident on LIBERTY. COMMENTS: ALL 1944 quarters are from a doubled master die ( nose, earlobe). There are several similar doubled dies for this date. Keep searching!* I'm going to try and scan the pic of the DDO in the guide and see if I can attach it here for a comparison. Reference the Variety Vista site and see if your coin has any die marker matches. There are 38 DDO's listed Have FUN!  * Whatever one it is, it is a DDONo MD makes a notch like the right side of the T in TRUST that's on your coin* Edited by chuckster 125

these things are shiny and the DDO are the trickier med spread so the photos I had to darken the lighting and really set up pictures but now I think I can improve on the picture taking to not distract from PUP. coin photography - yikes --- still learning |
