Not really on-topic, but what's up with the sheer amount of 1955-S cents around this subforum lately?
I think that's about the fourth or fifth 1955-S I've seen here in the last few days!

I mean, it's not like this is a particularly common date, and I don't think it's particularly valuable either.

(I don't even frequent this subforum, normally; I just keep seeing "1955-S cent" in the recent threads, and I happen to like this date - exactly due to it being uncommon but not yet particularly valuable - so try to check them out.
However, looking at the thread list on the subforum page, there had been surprisingly many of these lately.)

1955s is kind of the semikey for persons that start to assembly their first set of lincoln, particularly from circulating. It is hardest to find for lincoln starting 1940.
Anyway, this forum mainly focuses on grading not on the value of coins. I would appreciate to see some rare and nice pieces too.

I never said it was a problem, I was just surprised. Nice to see these 1955-S cents too!

I must've been very lucky then - my first Wheat cent was an 1955-S, I think. (One of the first, anyway.) It's really the main reason I like the date so much.
Got it in a bag of assorted foreign coins from my non-collecting American relatives, via slightly closer but also not collecting Israeli relatives (the bag contained Israeli coins, American coins, and a few coins from other places; the 1955-S cent was the oldest). I highly suspect that they somehow managed to find it in circulation, but the chain of communication was complicated enough that I couldn't possibly know if they did anyway.

Hard to tell from given picture, but looks to be around 63RD which is typical for Littleton.
