Here is the problem child. BadThad, should I venture to purchase some of your magic elixer and do it myself or is this best left to a grading/conservation professional? Again, if more pics are required please let me know and I will do my best!

Wow. Those are both gorgeous! They seem to be about the same condition [obverse] ef-45 or so? What were you thinking on condition? I like the fact that the mint marks are distinctly different. each coin has its own personality. Put me on the list if/when you decide to sell!

EF-45, possibly details (corrosion). Still very impressive. May clean up decently.

EF45. It needs Vedi_Care or a trip to acetone. Remove the corrosion as soon as possible. It spreads.

Wow, Nice... use a soak in acetone then verdi-care. AU-50ish, maybe higher with clean photos...

Later die states than the other one. See how the EPU IGWT are merging into the rim? The right wheat stock is also getting weak, which is typical for the issue. I recommend paying for professional conservation. This is potentially a $1000+ coin, the utmost care should be exercised. First, see if NCS would even consider it. You can submit an evaluation form with pictures and they'll let you know. If they believe the corrosion is too extensive and reject it for conservation, then you can decide what to do. Take your time here, do it right or you could make a costly mistake. For now, take some more pics of the damage, get in close to it. After that - just put it into an Airtite brand holder to freeze it where it is. AU-53 TWO STUNNING EXAMPLES BTW!

AU 55/58 details environmental damage.
Don't know if reverse corrosion has eaten away at the surfaces yet.

Here are a few more pics of the verdigris. Again, sorry for the quality, holding a loupe in front of an iPhone is hard! If you need something a bit sharper I can try again. EDIT: I just got off the phone with NCS and they just want me to send them in rather than sending them pics. I think I'm going to go for it.

Well, send it in first and see what they'll do....if anything. Most of it doesn't look too bad, the spot above the right wheat appears to be quite thick, but there's a chance they will conserve it. GOOD LUCK!
