I am pretty happy with my new usb microscope and found this 1971S double mint mark. My grandson says it deserves another dancing pepper...

That is machine damage. You can also see it on the bottoms of the date. The 1968-1972 cents had a lot of MD on them those years.

Thanks Pete and coop!

With my new usb scope my 9 year old grandson is all in on the fun. At Sunday family breakfast this morning, I said I would be happy to do the dishes and my grandson said, "what? you're leaving me to do the pennies alone!" So of course I said, "What? are you leaving me to do the dishes alone!"
