Vent.. call PCGS BEFORE you return them to the guy. They will want to know about them and the situation and they have pull with ebay. I would definitely be on the phone with them right now

Yeah, it was me that posted the negative feedback to warn others. And, I will definitely contact PCGS to make them aware also. I'll keep you all updated.

I do think the coins are genuine although I am not so sure about the awesome toning on each of them.

I have never heard of a genuine coin in a fake holder, yet.

These fake holders come from China complete with a fake coin.

Who knows, this might be different.

Just got off the phone with PCGS. "Two options" Send back to seller for refund OR lose out on the money I spent and send in to PCGS for a holder verification. Hopefully if this guy puts them back up on ebay people will look at the negative feedback I left and realize it's a rip off. And, the coins DO look genuine although not sure if the toning is. I've seen fakes from China and unless these are REALLY GOOD fakes, I think they were minted here in the U.S.

What happens if PCGS determins the holders are fake? Does PCGS make any effort to go after the counterfeit seller?

You know, the lady I spoke with from PCGS seemed REALLY disinterested in my problem so that was never brought up. The whole conversation with her took less than a minute and a half. I tried to explain my concerns to her but she basically told me about the two options I posted above and that's it.

What a shame that these scammers are not arrested. Grand Theft's threshold is $250 last I knew. Maybe someone will file with the treasury since counterfeiting carry's a 15yr prison term. I have a collection of Morgans except the 1893-s/ & many Vams on the top 100, but over the course of the years have not paid a great deal of attention to the slabs and many are certified, so I go back and check constantly a few each week. Found one really suspect one so far but my dealer says it looks good to him. Go figure.

Problem is the "counterfeiting" isn't being done in this country. It's being done in China where is it legal.
