I used the profit from the sale of my 1798 S-158 to buy this, so I have $38 in this coin.

Images are really dark, but if you technically paid $38, amazing.

You did pretty good. Liberty looks strong enough to make fine, so the coin shows well even though the reverse is not so nice. How well you did depends on the Sheldon variety.

Were you wearing a mask when you stole that?

How you did depends on which coin you wanted most: the S-158 or a 1794.
That S-158 was quite nice, actually. But that 1794 looks also very appealing with smooth surfaces and some nice detail remaining.
Worth every penny and more you put into it.
It seems to be S-28 or S-29.

@GERMANICVS

I definitely wanted the 1794 more. I only paid $5 for the S-158, so I decided to sell it and use any proceeds to upgrade my Liberty Cap Cent and give my old one to my father.

I think you made a good deal.

I would have liked to see the coin in hand ...
But I think I would have paid that for it

Nice for sure!

Please share some pics when you get it in hand. I think there is more there than the seller pics show.

I also think it will look quite nice in-hand. I think it will prove to have nice detail and a smooth planchet. The rim damage appears to be minor, and well within the tolerance for early copper.

Are you going to remove it from its slab?
