Just picked up a 1887 Indian and was looking at the back and was wondering what is wrong with the left side I the wreath. It is all through it. Is it a die break or something else?

I see some minor die cracks on both sides, which is fairly common for the series, but this is an absolutely beautiful coin. As a big fan of the Indian cent series, I'm jealous :)

thanks a bunch. I got it from a old coin dealer who broke up a book and most looked like this one. I have gotten most of them. I would tell yo I got it for $40 but wouldn't want you to hate me.

Yes, small die cracks, and a beautiful coin. Love that tone on the reverse.
