I see some detail in the feathers and the horn looks full to me. I would go VF-30, although strike weakness could be mistaken for wear and this could be an XF coin... How's that for a definitive grade ?The toning looks a little strange to me , could be considered environmental damage.

I think the "toning" is just dirt. It is much more pronounced in these pics than in hand.

I think the Liberty is the result of a weak strike.

Without taking in to account the "dirt" or "toning" I'd give this one at least a VF, looks like a full horn to me. Could be an XF, would need better pictures or to see it in hand.

appears to be a strong VF that was weakly struck. Notice how the center devices of the coin ( both obv & rev ) are fairly bold ( hair knot and buffalo shoulder ). liberty is almost gone and wear would not show there until it was fine through good

There we go habib.

I paid VF money for this but felt it had a chance at XF. Either way I agree with the majority that this is at least a VF and possibly an XF.

If Liberty and the loop of the buffaloes tail were sharper I think this would be a lock at XF.

Thanks again for the opinions.
