F was looking threw a box I throw older Jefferson nickels in and noticed this coin. Looks like pictures of have seen of planchet chip but also a lamination issue. If this is damage though what would cause this?

Looks like another coin that was damaged in a commercial cloth dryer. Note the edges folding over and the huge make on the edge of the coin. Spendable.
