I attended the ANA National Money show in Dallas this weekend. I originally intended to work on finding upgrades to my Franklin set. Not much luck on that. I ended up coming home with two Walking Liberty half's, A 1944 and a 1941 D, both NGC graded MS 65. AS if that wasn't enough, I also purchased my first graded US Note, 1928 Silver Certificate Funny Back graded by PMG as AU 50.

At least now I have some other things to look for other than Franklins now.

I've always liked the Walking Liberty halves. A bit more artistic than the Franklins. Really the last artistic coin the US has put out. Probably why they use the obverse for the ASEs.

Nice to have more to look for though.
Rest in Peace

Glad to hear that you found some nice stuff at the show.

I've been to the ANA show in Chicago a few times and I have to admit that I always come home with stuff that wasn't on my shopping list.

You were smart enough to leave your avenues of purchasing open. SO when you did see something that interested you, you didn't have to ONLY buy from your want list but from your YUMMIE list.
Rest in Peace

There were some really nice Walkers there at several tables. Glad to hear you snagged a couple.

Sorry for the crude pics, will try to get some better pics later.

Gorgeous Toning on this one, the pics don't do it any justice whatsoever. Bronze color overall with hints of rainbow scattered on the obverse and the reverse.

Nice White coin.

Wanted this one for a while, so I bought a nice one.

Sorry for the orientation of the pics. Photobucket is being a pain for some reason.
