Just got this from a friend tonight. Looks like a solid F12 paid $240 for it. Very low mintage date just over 38K. Looks all original to me. Maybe send it out next run to NGC. A coin you don't see everyday, too good a deal to turn down.

may squeak out F12. I like to see a full outline on the shield for a fine but the reverse does look F12. if you grade conservatively I would call it VG10. if it was mine i'd call it F12

Comparing it to photograde it's a near match for a F12, for a F15 top of the shield starts to show lines hence my assessment of F12. Does it look all original to you? I.e. No cleaning etc.

Looks FINE to me, Surfaces look a little strange, may be the pictures? All double dimes are sweet!

with a grade of F12. Nice pickup!

I agree with F12. A real nice example for a series that is littered with tampered examples.

Surfaces appear to be from circulation I didn't see anything indicative of a harsh cleaning....maybe lightly cleaned a long time ago but it has retoned if so. You think it's worth submitting to NGC or keeping it in my type set book? It is a rare coin....decisions decisions

It's a $200 to $220 coin in F12, gonna cost you another 20-40 to slab it. At 240 you're already in it at retail, or close. I think it's worth slabbing but not if you intend to flip it.

I agree with the F-12. If you wait until you have 15 coins to send in to NGC it greatly reduces your cost per coin, especially if they are all in the <$300 economy class. Sending in 15 coins on a single invoice will cost you about $23.50 per coin when you figure in your mailing costs, and all the costs charged for such expenses as invoice charge and including return shipping and insurance.
That is figuring an average value per coin of $225, but it is only a few cents more per coin if your average is higher (this changes because of the insurance from them to you).
Let me put it this way. If I saw that coin in a righteous no details NGC holder at $250 I'd snap it up without even bargaining for a better price.
If I saw it raw, as it is now, it's unlikely that I'd spend $200. That lower value to me simply because I have two other double dimes already.

I think it would come back graded as a VG-10
